Begeistert 14

Begeistert 14 was a success. There are many other reviews, so I'm not goint to write one. Just a small info about the recent progress with DVB and SATA.

In preperation for Begeistert, I enhanced the DVB media add-on that I'm developing to also support DVB-S, as another developer is doing a DVB-S driver. We want to use a common API, so that different cards and applicaitons can play together, as usual in BeOS.

While the DVB-S driver and also the add-on was ready just in time for Begeistert, we failed to find a satellite dish antenna, and thus couldn't do any presentation of DVB-S.

An early demo of DVB-T was working, and I presented it to a few interested people.

I also had a talk with Yellowtab, they now integrated the 48 bit driver in Zeta, and are going to send me the modified sources. The driver is based on Thomas Kurschels IDE stuff, but has been advanced.
